Zahra Buhari-Indimi, the daughter of the president, has described Bola Tinubu as a “leader in many forms.”
The presidential election commenced on Saturday with a total of 18 candidates contesting for Nigeria’s highest office.
Tinubu is the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a post on her Instastory, Zahra revealed why she is supporting the former governor of Lagos state.
She said Tinubu is a political leader who recognizes potential and acts on it.
“Many people asked me why I was supporting this man here and all I can say is he is one person I know in this political realm that sees potential and doesn’t ignore,” she said.
“A leader in many forms.”
Millions of Nigerians took to their polling units to vote in favour of their preferred candidates with celebrities also not left out of the phenomenon.
Out of the 18 presidential candidates, four are leading the race for the election.
They include Tinubu, Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
President Muhammadu Buhari voted at his polling unit in Daura, Katsina state.
After voting, the president showed off his ballot papers to let the people around the polling unit know he voted for Tinubu.
