Zack Orji, the ace actor, has been hospitalised after slumping in Abuja.
Footage surfaced showing the veteran Nollywood star bedridden and seemingly writhing in pain.
It is gathered that Orji was rushed to the hospital on Friday following his collapse.
Abubakar Yakubu, secretary of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), told TheCable that details about Orji’s health are still sketchy.
He also assured that the guild would notify the public of any developments.
“It is true. He is currently in the hospital. They are running tests on him,” said the national secretary.
Sources claim Orji had been grappling with fatigue for weeks and is now unable to talk or move.
Fans and colleagues of the actor have taken to his Instagram page to express their best wishes.
Zack Orji is a prominent name in Nollywood.
He is renowned for his roles in films like ‘The Bridge’, ‘Glamour Girls’, and ‘Blood Money’.
The veteran actor has starred in several other movies throughout his career.
Beyond acting, Orji is also a director and film producer.
Orji was appointed a director of performing arts for the presidential campaign council of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023.
He is married to Ngozi Orji, his wife with whom he has had three children.
