Yul Edochie says although it’s wrong to marry a second wife, he couldn’t let her go because she had made an impact on his life.
Yul had revealed the arrival of a child with Judy Austin, his lover, to the chagrin of May Edochie, his first wife.
The actor also unveiled Judy as his second wife, generating mixed reactions across social media.
In a monologue addressing his reasons for resorting to polygamy, Edochie said it’s possible to love two women.
Yul also said he is taking the blame for allowing another woman to come into his marriage.
The actor, however, said he couldn’t let the “wonderful” woman he had met leave his life, after her “unique” impact.
According to him, there are also other reasons he married Judy, some of which may be revealed later on.
“I have heard from people that a man can’t love two women at the same time. I used to believe it until it happened to me. Never say never. At this point in my life, I think it is possible for a man to love two women,” Edochie said.
“Two women can be in your life and bring different things to your life. They reason in different ways, they contribute different things to your life and make you realise that is just the way it is.
“Yes it’s wrong, I take the blame for that. Things happened, it happened to me and I realised I couldn’t let this woman leave my life.
“You may say the circumstances are wrong, but these things happen, and then you realise you can’t let this person go. This person has a lot of impact on your life, you don’t want this person to go.”
