DPA Family Clinic, the legal team of May Edochie, has claimed that Yul, the actor, denied getting married to Judy Austin, his second wife.
Edochie has been in the news for controversial reasons since he unveiled Austin as his second wife in April 2022.
He also announced their first child together, to the displeasure of May, his first wife.
May recently filed for divorce from Yul and demanded N100 million in damages from Judy “for adultery with her husband”.
Her legal team revealed the initial petition emphasised an alleged traditional marriage ceremony between Yul and Judy on April 24, 2022, in Anambra state.
But in a new development, Emeka Ugwuonye, a member of May’s legal team, claimed Edochie denied getting married to Judy.
Ugwuonye also alleged that Yul claimed that the news of his traditional marriage was a “fabricated story”, arguing that he and Judy are just “skit makers”.
According to him, Yul claimed he is not married to Judy in his court filing following May’s divorce petition. He added that the development has resulted in an “unexpected setback” of court proceedings.
The legal practitioner said he considers the pair’s recent claims as a “defence strategy”, adding that they have maintained that their relationship lacked any legal recognition.
Ugwuonya also argued that the self-acclaimed “skit-making relationship” has produced two children with the third one underway.
