Dee One, the Nigerian comedian, has taken a swipe at activist VeryDarkMan for accepting N100 million from Don Jazzy.
The activist recently revealed that the Mavin Records founder donated N100 million to his newly launched non-governmental organization (NGO).
In a video shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, Dee One called out VeryDarkMan for “perceived hypocrisy”.
He referenced VeryDarkMan’s recent criticism of celebrities, including Don Jazzy, for donating to Bobrisky after her prison release.
Dee One questioned the activist’s integrity, highlighting his sudden change in stance.
“I am disappointed in Don Jazzy, don collect money from Don Jazzy. So that means Don Jazzy is a good person. He does not look at whether the receiver is an evil person or not,” he said.
“This is because when Don Jazzy gave Bobrisky money and she put it online, VeryDarkMan came outside to say he was disappointed that Don Jazzy supported Bobrisky.
“Don Jazzy is also a very petty person. He did not say anything at the time, and in his mind, he probably thought it was poverty speaking. When VeryDarkMan needed money for his NGO, he now gave him N100 million.
“VeryDarkMan had to announce it himself. This is a very good lesson to everyone including me that it is not a must to talk about everything. Because that same money that was given to Bobrisky that you said was bad, now it has been given to you, it is good. You do not have to talk about everything.”
