Lanre Gentry, the ex-husband of Mercy Aigbe, has celebrated Juwon, his son with the actress, on his 14th birthday.
In 2014, Aigbe tied the knot with Gentry, a hotelier. Their marriage, which produced two children — Juwon and Michelle — however, ended in 2017.
Marking Juwon’s birthday via Instagram on Tuesday, Gentry alleged that Aigbe has been trying to separate them.
Gentry said he is happy that his son still recognises him as his father.
“Happy birthday to my dear son Olajuwon Gentry, no matter how your mother try to take you away from me, I still remain your father and am happy you are growing up to understand that I remain your father and to come back to me to ask for anything without your mother asking by herself. I cherish you, my son, a long life to you and me as your father,” he wrote.

Aigbe, on the other hand, described the young boy as “my sunshine in whom I am well pleased” in a series of Instagram posts.
In 2017, Aigbe made several claims of domestic violence against Gentry.
The pair have been at war on social media since then. In June 2022, they rekindled their lingering feud over a post by the actress on Father’s Day.
This was a few months after she unveiled Kazim Adeoti, the filmmaker, as her new husband.
