Oladips, the Nigerian rapper, has faulted Ruger, his colleague, over the recent sexual assault dealt on him by a fan on stage.
In a now-deleted post on Instagram, the rapper referred to Ruger’s lyrics as “x-rated”, adding that it could send mixed signals to his female fans.
According to him, such lyrics could mislead his female fans into thinking that they are allowed to commit such acts.
The 27-year-old also advised Ruger on his lyrics pattern, adding that he should not “preach what he can’t practice”.
“Ruger dey sing all those bad boy songs ‘your pum pum something something, 9ja Boy I Dey knack anything’ and expect girls dem to see him as Pastor Joshua or something,” he wrote in a mixture of pidgin and English language.
“Some of your female fans go do low key fantasize you on top them.
“My mans, if I am to judge this with some of your xxx lyrics, nah you dey at fault for misleading them girls. No preach wetin you no fit practice brah.”
In a now-viral video, Ruger was in the middle of a live performance when a female concertgoer had reached out and grabbed his crotch.
Dumbstruck, the ‘Bounce’ crooner fended off her hands momentarily before storming off the stage in rage.
