Osmond Gbadebo, the Nigerian actor and producer popular in the Yoruba movie industry, has passed away.
It is understood the film star died in the early hours of Monday.
Details of his death remain sketchy as of the time of this report.
His demise has continued to elicit reactions with several of his colleagues in the Yoruba movie industry taking to their social media pages to pay their tributes.
In an Instagram post, Fausat Balogun, the actress better known as Madam Saje, shared a picture of a burning candle accompanied with a terse caption which read: “Goodnight Osmond”.
Laide Bakare also expressed shock at Gbadebo’s death. The actress disclosed that she and the deceased met about four days ago.
“Hmmmmm sad! Sad!! Sad!!!! this was just four days ago, and today hearing you are no more, its indeed a Big shocker, RIP Osmond. He was full of life till last breath,” she wrote.
On his part, Yomi Fabiyi wrote: “So sad and a deep painful loss, Osmond Gbadebo. You are a fighter and safe to say you have gone to rest. Ever jovial, ever supportive, ever friendly.”
Gbadebo was famous for his roles in movies such as ‘Ewon Ife’, ‘Queen Lateefat’, ‘Edunjobi’, and ‘Hired Killer’.
