Wizkid, the Grammy-winning superstar, has opened up about his respect and admiration for Jada Pollock, his manager and the mother of his children.

In his newly released documentary ‘Wizkid: Long Live Lagos’, the singer described Pollock as an indispensable figure in his life and career, crediting her dedication and strengths for their successful partnership.

He added that her passion and loyalty reflect why he finds women easier to work with, noting that they naturally know how to keep things steady.

“I love her so much. She’s very hardworking, hands on, very passionate and loyal about work. I feel women are easy to work with. They have a mother instinct to hold stuff together,” he said.

The documentary which premiered on HBO on December 11 offers an intimate look at Wizkid’s journey from Surulere to his landmark headline show at the sold-out 60,000-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in July 2023.

It also features contributions from Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, Julie Adenuga, Sunday Are, Jada Pollock, Seni Saraki and Karen Binns.

Pollock, 42, and Wizkid, 35, met in 2012 while she was managing Akon, the Senegalese-American singer.

Their relationship evolved from friendship to romance. They welcomed their first child Zion in 2017. Pollock later announced the birth of their second child in 2022 and their third in January.
