Wizkid, the Afrobeats star, is set to hold his concert in Lagos on December 28.

In a post via X, the ‘Ojuelegba’ hitmaker revealed that the concert tagged ‘The Greatest of all Time Experience’ will hold at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) at the Onikan axis of Lagos.

He also shared his excitement about the show, writing, “Lagos! See you soon”.

The concert announcement comes shortly after his album ‘Morayo‘ claimed the top spot as the most-streamed album in Sub-Saharan Africa on Apple Music.

A new documentary ‘Wizkid: Long Live Lagos’ offering an intimate look at the Afrobeats superstar’s remarkable journey will also premiere on HBO on December 11.

The documentary traces the singer’s evolution from Surulere to his historic headline performance at the sold-out 60,000-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 29, 2023.

It also features insights from a diverse range of voices, including legendary musician Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, media personality Julie Adenuga, producer Sunday Are, manager Jada Pollock, and industry insiders Seni Saraki and Karen Binns.

Born Ayodeji Balogun, Wizkid rose to prominence in 2011 with the release of his debut album Superstar.

He has released five studio albums: ‘Ayo’ (2014), ‘Sound From The Other Side’ (2017), ‘Made In Lagos’ (2020), ‘More Love, Less Ego’ (2022), and ‘Morayo’ (2024).

Wizkid’s achievements include numerous awards, notably a Grammy in 2021 for his collaboration with Beyoncé on the hit song ‘Brown Skin Girl’.
