‘Sounds From The Other Side’, Wizkid’s first international EP/mixtape project, is out after weeks of intense anticipation.
Released on Friday around the world, SFTOS is a 12-track body of work.
The project was released under Starboy Entertainment/Sony/RCA Records.
It is the follow-up to 2011’s ‘Superstar’ and 2014’s ‘Ayo’.
It features a sterling lineup of guest artistes, including Drake, Chris Brown, Ty Dolla Sign, Trey Songs, & Major Lazer, and Bucie.
Ty Dolla Sign features twice on the record.
Sweet Love, Come Closer, African Bad Gyal, Naughty Ride and Daddy Yo were some of the songs on the record which were earlier released as lead singles.
After a first listen of SFTOS, Sexy, All for love, Dirty Wine, and Gbese featuring Trey Songz appear to be standout tracks.
Production on the record was done by Sarz, Major Lazer, Dre Skull, among others.
After the global success of his feature on Drake’s ‘Once Dance’ in 2016, Wizkid signed a worldwide record deal with Sony.
In the past year, the Nigerian artiste has gained prominence on the international scene and has won a number of awards.
He was named the Best Worldwide Act by MTV EMA and also won the Best African Act at the British MOBO Awards.
At the MTV MAMA Awards, Wizkid won Best Collaboration, Best Male Artist and Artist of the Year.
The Nigerian superstar also won three Billboard awards for his feature on ‘One Dance’.
SFTOS is available on most streaming platforms.
The singer this week held an album listening party for fans at The Curtain, in East London.
