FULL LIST: Wizkid — the original Starboy — wins two awards at MTV EMAs

After winning the Best African Act award, Wizkid on Sunday also took home the Best Worldwide Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Wizkid edged out six artists from around the globe to be named Best Worldwide Act.

They were; Shawn Mendes (Canada), Zara Larsson (Sweden), Maluma (Columbia), GOT7 (Korea) and Troye Sivan (Australia).

The Nigerian Afro-pop star and Lady Gaga were tied as the second biggest winners of the night with two plaques apiece.

The pair’s achievement was only surpassed by Justin Bieber, who won Best Song, Best Fans and Best Canadian Act.

The 2016 MTV EMAs which took place in Rotterdam, Netherlands, was hosted by Bebe Rexha.

The “other Starboy”, multi-platinum R&B singer known as The Weeknd, performed for the first time on the EMA stage.

The Weeknd performed his hit single, ‘Starboy’.
