Anub Media has announced that season three of the Teachers Naija reality show will begin on September 24.

Enuagwuna Ubaka, the show’s convener, broke the news at a press briefing on Thursday.

According to him, the winner of the show’s third edition will get N10 million cash prize and other prizes from the sponsors.

Ubaka added that the first and second runners up would also go home with N7 million and N5 million respectively.

He announced that there are N25 million to be won in prizes this year.

This year’s edition of the show, titled ‘The Smart Teacher’, will bring together 20 teachers — 10 males, 10 females — across Nigeria, who will be together in a house for a period of 30 days.

During the show, the teachers will be made to participate in activities and tasks related to entertainment and education.

On the selection criteria, Ubaka said applicants will go through a rigorous process of auditioning before the final participants are picked.

This year’s edition of the show will run till October 23 and will air for 1 hour everyday over the course of the 30 days on a yet to be disclosed channel.

The organisers said there will be both USSD and electronic voting so fans can vote for their favorite teachers.

The show made its debut in 2019 but did not hold in 2020 due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

It returned in 2021 with Gloria Odutola emerging the edition’s winner.

Odutola walked away with a 2-bedroom flat in Abuja and N2 million while the first and second runner up got N1.5 million and N1 million respectively.
