Inquiries about Sadiq Daba, late actor-cum-broadcaster, ‘Coming 2 America‘ and the 2021 Grammy Awards were among the most-searched terms on Google Nigeria for March 2021.
The social media giant, which routinely puts together search metrics in every country, broke the news in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the company, terms bordering on 2021 International Women’s Day (IWD) and mother’s day topped the chart of what Nigerians searched for in the outgoing month.
“The serious business of motherhood and women’s rights, then some light entertainment in the form of movies, music and celebs reflected the mood of Nigerians in March,” it read.
On ‘Coming 2 America’, Google said Nigerians were more interested in the role played by Davido, who made his international debut appearance with a cameo in the Hollywood comedy.
It added that the heroics of Wizkid and Burna Boy at the Grammys also piqued the interests of Nigerians in the award the most.
Other subjects searched by Nigerians in March include Rema’s ‘Bounce’, Piers Morgan’s ‘Good Morning Britain’ exit, Daddy Freeze and Obafemi Martins.
