The city of Lagos was abuzz on Monday night as Tony Elumelu, the chairman of the United Bank for Africa (UBA), hosted his annual all-white Christmas party.

The event, which has become a staple of the Nigerian social scene, drew a star-studded crowd of governors, celebrities, and business moguls.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Dapo Abiodun, and Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, the governors of Lagos, Ogun, and Kwara states, respectively, were in attendance.

Nigerian music heavyweights Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido were also spotted at the event. They also delivered thrilling performances that entertained the crowd. The trio recently performed at Oando PLC end-of-the-year party.

Other notable personalities spotted at the event were Obi Cubana, Amaju Pinnick, Victor Osimhen, Flavor, James Ibori, Tola Odunsi, Abdulsamad Rabiu, and Bose Ogulu.

Sharon Ooja, Toke Makinwa, Mr Macaroni, Cubana Chief Priest, Mercy Eke, Osas Ighodaro, Denola Grey, Lilian Afegbai, and Nelly Mbonu were also in attendance.

Elumelu is a billionaire businessman, economist, and philanthropist. He chairs Heirs Holdings and Transcorp and is the founder of The Tony Elumelu Foundation.

Elumelu was named one of Time’s 100 most influential people in the world in 2020.

He has been married to Awele Vivien, a medical doctor, since 1993, and they have seven children together.
