VeryDarkMan, the controversial activist, is set to release a diss track against gospel singer Mercy Chinwo after she sued him for alleged defamation.
Last month, in a series of Instagram posts, VDM accused Chinwo of diverting funds from shows without remitting them to her former label, owned by Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu.
The social media critic also claimed that Chinwo violated contractual agreements with the label before parting ways.
Responding to the allegations, the singer filed a lawsuit seeking N1.125 billion in general damages.
In a recent Instagram video, the social media critic shared a snippet of his upcoming track titled ‘Body of Christ’.
He also announced plans to feature Portable, who he argued is more “spiritually inclined” than Chinwo. He said the song’s purpose was to help him afford the cost of the lawsuit.
“My single is out. I want you guys to comment in the comment section who I am going to feature on this track. I am thinking about somebody who is holier… In my opinion, this person is holier than Mercy Chinwo, I think this person has the spirit of Christ in him,” he said.
“I want somebody way better than her, somebody that spiritual depth. Omolalomi Portable I will be in your dm, I am going to put you on this song because you are spiritually inclined.
“Forget about our differences, but I think you are more spiritual in Christianity than Mercy Chinwo. As you all know, I’ve been sued for N1.1 billion naira, and I need money to pay for the court case.”
