Tekno, Nigerian Afrobeats artiste, has dropped the official video for ‘Agege’, featuring Zlatan Ibile, a street-music singer.
The visuals, directed by TG Omori, was released on Thursday, less than 48 hours after the singer dropped the song’s audio.
‘Agege’ features eclectic street dance moves, including the controversial scene involving semi-nude ladies dancing in a mobile truck in Lagos.
The visuals follows Tekno’s 2019 debut and sophomore singles ‘Up Tempo’ and ‘Women’.

On August 2, Tekno made the headlines after he was seen throwing foreign currencies at the five oiled ladies in lingerie and smacking their butts as they twerked around a pole. The singer made use of a transparent van meant for mobile advertisement.
Following the outrage that met the incident on social media, the Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Advertisement Agency (LASAA) had issued a statement describing the stunt as a “display of crass immorality”.
The singer, thereafter, issued a statement apologizing to persons who had felt offended by the incident, before he was invited for questioning by the state police authorities.
“There was no reason for us to be dancing in a truck around Lekki. There was no music, no ventilation in the truck. We were shooting a music video, and we had a shortage of vehicles to convey people to the next location,” he had said.
