Riich Mic, the fast-rising Nigerian singer, has put out the visuals for his recently released single titled ‘Ife Mi’.
The music video was released on Wednesday — a week after the Abuja-based singer delivered the audio on streaming platforms.
‘Ife Mi’, a dancehall song, was composed using a mix of highlife tune infused with elements of the solo guitar and piano sounds.
The 2-minute, 26-second music video showcases vibrant and captivating scenes as Mic passionately declares his love to his on-screen muse.
Set against picturesque indoor spaces and charming outdoor locations, the video seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with symbolic representations of love, enriching the song’s emotional essence.
Soft lighting, romantic backdrops, and intimate close-up shots highlight the song’s message, while Mic’s diverse and stylish wardrobe adds vibrancy and visual appeal, making the entire production even more engaging.
On the inspiration behind the song, Mic said, “Ife Mi is the Yoruba translation of ‘My Love.’ The song was actually written within an hour”.
On the impact he envisions, the singer added, “Ife Mi is a career-changing and life-changing song for me. I also believe it will positively impact love lives, relationships, marriages, and even bonds among family and friends”.
Born Chinaza Michael Iroh in Ohafia, Abia State, Mic is steadily carving a niche for himself in the Nigerian music industry.
The singer-songwriter is known for his compelling storytelling and dynamic vocal delivery.
His passion for music was ignited in childhood, growing up in a musically inclined home and honing his skills in the church choir.
However, his journey was marked by adversity following the loss of his father in 2008. Despite financial struggles, his mother’s unwavering support encouraged him to pursue his musical dreams.
In 2024, he signed with Bankerz Muzik Management and released ‘De Go,’ a breakthrough single that has solidified his presence in the Afrobeat scene.
