The project is the third on the Spider-Man series by the Marvel Cinematic Universe (UMC), with the fourth part said to be in the works.

The less than three-minute video clip sees Peter Parker, a character played by Tom Holland, faced with his most brutal foe after his secret identity as Spider-Man was unmasked.

This led Parker to start searching for help to hide his identity from the world, leading to a dangerous alternative.

His last resort was to seek a supernatural solution from Doctor Strange (Cumberbatch), with the latter assuring him that he could help conceal his identity again with the aid of a spell.

What follows after seems like a multiversal collision as the magic unleashed plunges Parker and Strange into the multiverse and untold danger.

“We tampered with the stability of space-time. The multiverse is a concept of which we know frighteningly little,” said Strange, as the pair deal with the consequences of the spell.

“The problem is you trying to live two different lives. The longer you do it, the more dangerous it becomes.”

The forthcoming project, directed by Jon Watts, is billed to be distributed by Sony Pictures.

It features several movie stars including Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx.

The movie was originally conceived as the sequel to ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ (2017) and ‘Spider: Man: Far From Home’ (2019).
