In a post on its social media page, the streaming giant disclosed that the season 4 of the Spanish series — containing eight episodes — will be released on April 3.

“Everything can go to hell in a flash. La Casa de Papel (a.k.a Money Heist) returns April 3,” it wrote on Twitter.

The return of Pedro Alonso, also known in the series as Berlin — who is supposedly dead in the previous season — remains one of the headlining discussions ahead of the official release.

Created by Álex Pina, ‘Money Heist’ was originally intended as a limited series to be told in two parts. The movie had its original run of 15 episodes on Spanish network Antena 3 from May 2, through November 23, 2017.

However, that same year, Netflix acquired the global streaming rights of the series and consequently made some adjustments to the original plan.

The US-based media services firm had reduced the series into 22 shorter episodes before releasing them. The first part was released on December 2017, followed by the second on April 6, 2018.

The release of the second part was however, followed by some adjustments with Netflix increasing budget for 16 new episodes total.

The part four of the series — with eight episodes — was released on July 19, 2019.

Netflix had recently strengthened partnership with Nollywood with the launch of its Nigerian Twitter account.
