Mr Eazi, Afrobeats singer, has put out the visuals for ‘E Be Mad’, the fifth track off ‘Something Else’, his recent extended play.
The music video, which was dropped on Monday, comes on the heels of the visuals for ‘The Don’, the first track off the EP, which was released last month.
The less than three-minute footage, directed by Ademola Falomo, prolific Nigerian director, makes use of a suburb area, with serene scenery with nightlife full of various kinds of gambling.
The track, produced by Kel P and Jaylon, merges elements of Ghana’s highlife with Mr Eazi’s sonorous voice to create a song he dedicates to “everyone who’s in a long relationship and wants to take it further.”
The 29-year-old singer talks commitment, undisputed affection towards his lover, who he seems not to have enough of and cannot do without.
The ‘Skin Tight’ crooner pioneered Banku Music, a fusion sound he describes as a mixture of Ghana’s highlife and Nigerian chord progressions and patterns. His debut mixtape ‘About to Blow’ was released in 2013.
The singer gained international recognition following the release of the Efya-assisted single ‘Skin Tight’. His second mixtape ‘Life Is Eazi, Vol. ‘1 – Accra To Lagos’ was released in February 2017 and the second volume came in 2018.
