On May 13, the ‘OBO’ crooner released the song, which featured The Samples, Kanye West’s Sunday Service choir.

In a now-viral video, Franklin could be seen singing the track word for word with passion.

Davido shared a clip of the US musician vibing to his song via his Twitter page.

In a post accompanying the clip, the ‘Assurance’ crooner appreciated Franklin for the gesture.

“The gospel singing legend himself, standing strong! A special thank you to Kirk Franklin for joining us on this movement! Keep the foundation strong always! @kirkfranklin# standstrongfoundation,” he wrote.

In ‘Stand Strong,’ Davido reflected on the hardships he faced in life and his perseverance to pull through.

He also urged people to stand strong irrespective of the challenges that come their way.

The musician had earlier described the project, which is the first single off his forthcoming album, as something special to him.

“For the first time, I want to bring you into the other part of my world. The part where every day is a battle but I have no option but to ‘Stand Strong’. I present to you, the first single off my next album,” he had written.

“I know what I’ve experienced the past 10 years, and a lot of you have been through it all with me. But… have you really?

“This one is special to me. It’s different. The conception has been different. The mindset has been different. The making has been different.”
