In the trailer, which begins with Rey’s panting in the desert, Ray portrayed by Daisy Ridley, an English actress, is seen getting advice from Luke (Mark Hamil). The movie would be available in theaters come December.

Towards the end of the trailer, an ominous laughter is heard from Emperor Palpatine as a menacing storm and horridly overcast clouds are seen far ahead in the Horizon.

Daily Mail reports that J.J. Abrams, the movie’s director, confirmed that ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ would feature a live Princess Leila, even though the said role fizzled out in 2016.

“Princess Leila lives in this film in a way that is mind-blowing to me.  This movie is about the new generation and what they’ve inherited, the light and the dark,” he said during the celebration in Chicago.
