Davido, an award-winning Nigerian singer, has put out the visuals for ‘The Best’, a track off ‘A Better Time‘, his 2020 album.
The ‘OBO’ crooner announced the release of the song featuring Mayorkun, a fellow singer, on Thursday.
The less than four-minute video sees Davido making a case for himself as the leading artiste in the country’s entertainment industry.
It also sees Mayorkun explaining how the ‘FEM’ singer has influenced his foray into the music industry and his attendant career strides.
The video starts with the ‘Geng’ singer preparing for a martial arts competition with Davido as his coach.
After intensive training, Mayorkun went on to win the contest with the ‘Betty Butter’ singer attributing the feat to his trainer’s support.
“And I learnt from the best o. Baddest o forget them. Omo I came in with less o. So, comport yourself o (cos I go vex o). Dey rest o. Forget yourself,” they could be heard singing.
Both singers have continued to pull the strings in the entertainment industry with strings of beautiful projects, awards and recognitions.
Mayorkun gained popularity after ‘The Mayor of Lagos’, his debut album, wherein he featured D’banj, Davido, Patoranking, among others, in a project that did numbers across streaming platforms.
Davido, on the other hand, has established himself as one of Nigeria’s leading artistes.
