VIDEO: Davido hails Wizkid, D’banj, Olamide for ‘putting Africa on the map’

He scored a hat-trick at the Soundcity MVP awards, had many people to thank and ‘shout outs’ to give.

After taking best video and song of the year, Davido went on a spontaneous praise session of artistes who “put Africa on this map” during his acceptance speech for African artiste of the year.

The singer praised his “brothers”, Wizkid and Olamide, as well as veterans; D’banj, 2baba Idibia and the disbanded Psquare.

“Shout out to my brother Wizkid. That’s my brother. That’s one of the people that put Africa on this map,” he said, adding that, “shout out to my brother, Olamide Badoo. That’s my brother”.
