The less than four-minute video started on a spirited note with groups of people clad in Igbo attires hailing the ‘Ye’ crooner as ‘Odogwu’ — which means a great man.

Donning an attire typical of a traditional Igbo monarch, the ‘African Giant’ crooner can be seen moving his body energetically to the chants of those surrounding him.

“When I reach Igbo land them calling me Odogwu (Odogwu)
And as I enter the town I put am for agu (Odogwu)
And nobody can stop you, na so we dey fly pass oh
Over any obstacle e be Odogwu (Odogwu),” he can be heard singing.

The 28-year-old singer would later be crowned a king, in what appeared to symbolise his popularity and acceptance among the people.

As the video progresses, the award-winning singer further provided more insight into the title of the song to mean a champion who refused to give up regardless of the odds.

Burna Boy has continued his impressive run from 2019 where he amassed huge fanbase and international recognition after releasing his ‘African Giant’ project.

He, however, made the headlines recently after he described himself as the best in the country’s music industry since Fela Kuti, Afrobeat legend.
