Burna Boy, the Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, has put out the visuals of ‘For My Hand’, a track off his newly-released album ‘Love, Damini.’
The Afrofusion artiste released the video alongside the song on social media in the early hours of Friday.
‘For My Hand’, a collaborative effort featuring Ed Sheeran, the English singer, is the 13th track on the 19-song project that has been making rave since its release.
The less than three-minute song is a classical duet that is powered by the harmony that the contrast of distinct voices of the two artistes birthed.
The gravy baritone of Burna partners with the silky, relaxing melody of Ed Sheeran to produce a sound that straddles the lovey-dovey terrain of R&B and the bouncy world of pop music.
The singers desire love while begging their partners to stick around and wait it out for the storm to pass.
“I wanna be in your life until the night is over/ I wanna hold you so tight, so tight, come in closer/ It’s been a hell of a ride for every single moment/ You were there by my side,” the song lyrics read.
The visuals of the track interpret the song with the use of elevators and how good love can lift the lives of those who believe in it.
