Vee, a former housemate of the Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) reality TV show, has come through with the visuals for ‘Show’, her 2020 single.
The fast-rising singer took to her social media pages on Sunday to announce the release of the music video — after weeks of teasing.
In the less than three-minute visuals, the reality TV star can be seen rejecting other suitors as she croons about her love interest.
“I’m in the mood to get loose (get loose)
Omo na rhythm and blues (and blues, kilode?)
That’s why my waist make me rock it better
‘Cause Omo Vee-Vee na cruise (Vee-Vee na cruise)
‘Cause I don tey for street tire
And many boys don toast me tire
Nobody do me corner-corner
Nobody, baby but you (baby but you)
Can’t you see the butterflies in my belly? (ayy-ayy)
Can’t deny, o ti su mi oh (ayy)
You’re too sweet and e deadly (chii)
O tin fa jedi jedi oh
Swear to God, I be lieing
If I say I no feel your vibe
‘Cause you’re my type, yeah
Bobo yi just dey kill show,” the lyrics read.
The single was the first project to be released by the Lagos-based musician since she left the ‘Lockdown’ edition of the reality TV show in 2020.
The 24-year-old singer — whose real name is Victoria Adeyele — was among the finalists during last year’s BBNaija show which Laycon eventually won, snagging the N85 million grand prize.
Vee’s stay in the ‘Lockdown’ house was dominated by talks of her relationship with Neo, a fellow ex-housemate.
Last month, on the occasion of her 25th birthday, Neo had taken took to social media to declare his “undying” love for her.
