The singer, fondly called Mr P, took to his Instagram story to offer his two cents on marriage.

Okoye said if a marriage is not working, the person at the receiving end of the violence should walk away.

“Do not stay in any marriage that will lead to death. Getting married is different from living married. If it not working, walk away… period,” he wrote.

He is a member of Psquare, the group he shares with Paul Okoye, his twin brother.

Okoye’s advice came a few days after the death of Bimbo, wife of Ikechukwu ‘IVD’ Ogbonna, the celebrity car dealer.

Bimbo’s death followed an allegation of domestic violence in her marriage to IVD.

Family members of the deceased accused the entrepreneur of killing their sister while describing him as a “thief and drug addict”.

“So sad my sister fell in love with a thief and a drug addict…” Bimbo’s brother wrote.

The Lagos-based businessman, however, shared a video of himself injured while claiming Bimbo was the one who usually assaulted him.
