Aituaje Iruobe, Nigerian R&B vocalist better known as Waje, says she doesn’t mind dating a man who is ten years younger than herself.
The 39-year-old single mother gave her reason during a question and answer session with her fans on Thursday in a series of tweets.
Waje explained that the age difference between men and women in relationships shouldn’t be a thing, only that male partners would often make reference to it when things go wrong.
“Yes, I will. Love doesn’t know age. But most men are proud and he will always think age is the problem when things go wrong,” she said when asked if she’ll consider dating a younger man.

Waje had recently gone into isolation after reports swirled that a celebrity, who attended the 2020 African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), was down with COVID-19.
Last year, the award-winning songstress had staged a grandiose concert, which attracted celebrities and music lovers alike, after she had initially considered quitting music.
“To be honest, I’m hoping that I also dominate the global scene. Not just for myself but to aid younger artistes with the platform,” she told TheCable Lifestyle.
“I believe I’ve been blessed with a gift that could live longer than some people because my voice and personality is what makes me.
“Things like that never fizzle out. The goal for me is to tour, introduce myself to new markets, and do a lot more festivals.”
