Alli Abiodun Abimbola, the social media celebrity and travel vlogger fondly called Afobaje, has passed away.
The lifestyle expert was said to have slumped while playing football at the Ikeja Cement area of Lagos on Saturday.
The cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
A blogger identified as (@naijashimadun_) on Instagram shared their last interaction on the eve of his demise.
The blogger, in the post, said Afobaje was concerned about the financial situation at home in the wake of the #EndBadGovernance protest and had sent money to his loved ones.
“This was my chat with him yesterday. He was so concerned about the people at home for two days due to the protest with no food to eat,” he wrote.
“Even though I told him we could postpone the giveaway, he said no and still sent money from the limited resources on hand. I’m happy he brought joy to many faces yesterday, not knowing he only had a few more hours on earth.”

The film star described Afobaje as “a guardian who embodied the Yoruba culture” on Instagram.
“A true champion and guardian of Yoruba culture, you embodied the heritage inside and out, proudly representing our race. It breaks our hearts that you left us so soon. We’ll miss you more than words can say. Rest in peace, beloved omolúwàbí òdodo from the Temple of Olódùmarè,” he wrote.
