Fabiyi, who has been seeking justice for Mohbad, organized a “peaceful” protest on February 27, urging youths to join him in the fight.

On Thursday afternoon, Fabiyi led the protesters from the Alausa area of Lagos to the police command in Ikeja, carrying a banner with the inscription “Justice for Mohbad 2025”.

The protest was peaceful, with participants calling for accountability and transparency in the investigation into Mohbad’s death.

The protest comes just days after a magistrate court in Yaba dismissed charges against Mohbad’s ex-record label boss Naira Marley, Sammy Larry, and Prime Boy over their alleged involvement in Mohbad’s death.

However, the Lagos DPP announced that it would prosecute Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad, and Ayobami Sadiq, one of Mohbad’s friends, for reckless and negligent acts contrary to Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The Lagos police earlier declared Ogedengbe as “the prime suspect” in the singer’s death.

Mohbad died after receiving an injection administered by the auxiliary nurse.

Idowu Owohunwa, the Lagos state police commissioner, said Ogedengbe “administered multiple and highly potent injections which triggered an immediate reaction that eventually occasioned the death of Mohbad”.

The commissioner said the injections, consisting of tetanus toxoid, paracetamol, and ceftriaxone injection (IV) were administered at Mohbad’s residence.
