Kano-based musician Dauda ‘Rarara’ Kahutu delighted President Bola Tinubu and other dignitaries with a performance of his newly released Yoruba-titled song ‘Omo Ologo’ at a dinner event held in Katsina State.
The dinner was organized in honour of Tinubu, who is on a two-day official visit to Katsina — the hometown of former President Muhammadu Buhari — to assess the state’s security situation.
During his visit, Tinubu is scheduled to meet with security stakeholders, inaugurate the Katsina Agricultural Mechanization Centre, and a 24-km dual carriageway project completed by Governor Dikko Umar Radda.
The president will also attend Governor Radda’s daughter’s wedding ceremony.
At the event, Rarara energised the crowd with ‘Omo Ologo’ (a glorious child), a tribute song to Tinubu.
The track praises Tinubu as a triumphant leader who has overcome his detractors.
In a blend of Hausa and Yoruba, Rarara sings: “Olorire Olorire Bola Asiwaju Omo Ologo / Bola Asiwaju Omo Ologo / Asiwaju / Olorirere / Nile awon olote / Nile awon alabosi / Olorire.”
Visibly pleased, Tinubu applauded the singer and expressed his appreciation for the musical tribute.
