Portable, the Nigerian singer, has allegedly been assaulted after refusing to refund N3.5 million for a featured song.

In a series of Instagram posts on Monday, the singer shared videos depicting aggressive men yelling at him in an apartment.

Another clip showed the confrontation escalating to a bedroom.

Portable also posted a medical report from Lagos Island General Hospital, which he submitted to the DPO of Ajah police station.

While explaining the incident, the singer revealed that he had a deal to feature on a song by two US-based artistes.

He said the artistes agreed to pay the sum of N2.5 million to his manager last year.

However, feeling his price had gone up this year, he requested an additional N1 million, which was paid.

He said despite shooting a video with them at Ajah, they allegedly attacked him and demanded a refund.

He added that his eyes were “bruised” during the alleged assault.

“Eyin fans mi I don come back from hospital o, won ni mo ti no injury loju o. So those people because of say I help una now una say una won feature me, na two dem be,” he spoke in a mixture of pidgin English and Yoruba.

“They wan feature me from America. Una give my manager N2.5 million. As my manager give me the money, na last year dem give me money this year I talk say price don high o.

“Ewo I do the video for them o after they paid me N1 million again. As I reach there na him dey attack me say I must refund o.

“Won gbe mi kuro n be mi mo nkankan o, awon omo ota gan no won sare wo ni nu ile.”

Portable gained fame in December 2021 with the release of ‘Zazoo Zeh’. He has since been in the news for controversial reasons.
