A video showing John Okafor, the ailing actor better known as Mr. Ibu, after undergoing amputation, has surfaced online.
The actor has been battling an undisclosed illness for months.
On November 6, Ibu’s family revealed that the actor’s leg had been amputated after undergoing seven surgeries.
But on Thursday, Jasmine Okafor, Ibu’s adopted daughter, shared the video of the actor recuperating in the hospital.
In the video, the actor was seen still receiving treatment and being attended to by his family.
In accompanying caption, Jasmine wrote, “As long as you are getting better, nothing else matters. I remain silent until you are back on your feet again! Cheers”.

Ibu’s health struggles first made the news in October when a video of the actor soliciting for help was released on Instagram.
“I have been down for so many weeks. And I am hoping for your prayers and assistance. As I am speaking to you, I am still lying down in the hospital,” he had said.
On November 13, Stella Maris, the wife of Mr. Ibu, accused Jasmine of hijacking the funds donated for his surgery.
Stella alleged that Jasmine has been “secretly controlling” the bank account meant for donations.
She said when she demanded accountability on the donations, Jasmine “cooked up all kinds of lies and propaganda against me”.
She also addressed claims by Jasmine that she received N1 million to spend on herself.
