The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has extended its condolences to the family of Junior Pope Odonwodo, the late Nollywood actor.
Pope died on April 10 in the River Niger in Asaba, Delta state on his way to a movie location.
He passed away alongside four other crew members in a boat accident.
Pope’s demise led to the suspension of Adanma Luke, the producer of the upcoming movie in which the late actor was supposed to feature.
Emeka Rollas, the president of AGN, recently took to his Instagram page to share a video of the guild’s official condolence visit to Pope’s family in Enugu.
In an accompanying caption, Rollas shared his sympathies and prayed for strength for the family to endure the loss.
“An official condolence visit to the family of Junior Pope in the company of the actors guild chairman Enugu chapter @mrbrownene Hon. Barr Ugochi Madueke commissioner for culture and tourism enugu state and Hon. Aka eze aka Commissioner for information Enugu state. May god give the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he wrote.

On April 27, Pope’s family announced the details of his funeral arrangements.
They disclosed that the actor’s final rites will be held on May 17.
