Adekunle Gold, a Nigerian singer and songwriter, has taken to social media to share a video wherein he is seen enjoying quality time with Simi, his wife, and their newborn child.
In the short clip, the 33-year-old musician is seen playing a board game — in what appeared to be a picnic — with Simi, 32, while sitting on a grey cover laid on the green grass.
The songstress occasionally adjusts the nearly three-month-old baby in her arms while the lovebirds sing ‘AG Baby‘ together and also tease each other in a light-hearted manner.
The couple announced the arrival of their bundle of joy on June 7.
Simi, an award-winning singer, had earlier spoken about how her critically acclaimed song ‘Duduke’, which was released before she put to bed, had emanated from her personal experience with pregnancy.
“I’ve debated with myself for months on whether or not I should document my personal experience as a working, pregnant woman,” she had said.
“I still haven’t decided, because I’m still trying to navigate my current chemistry with social media.
“I’ll say this though, making this song was special for me, because it was personal, but I honestly had no idea it would be as huge as it is. I didn’t know it would resonate with so many people.”
The lovebirds have established themselves as fans’ favourites in the country’s music industry and across Africa.
