Victor Decker, veteran Nigerian actor renowned for starring in movies like ‘Double Strings’, has passed away.

Uzee Usman, fellow movie star, broke the news in an Instagram post in the early hours of Tuesday.

It remains unclear what led to Decker’s death as of the time of this report.

Usman had in the post expressed shock over news of Decker’s demise, noting that the development has yet again demonstrated that life is like a journey.

“Speechless! Can’t believe I’m typing this! But a reminder that this is not our home, we’re all on a journey! This is how I chose to remember you! Goodnight general! Rest In Peace!” he wrote.

Until his death, Decker was a member of the Abuja branch of the Actor’s Guild of Nigeria (AGN).

The deceased rose to the limelight after starring in several movies including ‘If I am President’ and ‘Lotanna.’

His demise further stretches the list of Nollywood stars who have breathed their last since the dawn of 2021.

TheCable Lifestyle had reported how Ernest Asuzu, an actor cum rapper, died after he slumped in January.

Asuzu’s death had also come days after Dan Nkoloagu, another actor known for playing native doctors in Nollywood films, also passed away.
