Ojoniyi, a professor, found himself in troubled waters after he was caught on video having an inappropriate relationship with one of his students, Mercy Ikwue.

Punch reports that the governing council headed by Mallam Yusuf Ali SAN, terminated Ojoniyi’s appointment after meeting held last week.

“The Council met last week and the report of the panel that investigated Ojoniyi’s amorous affair with the female student was deliberated upon.

“His appointment was terminated because that is the penalty stated in the Code of Conduct of Staff of Osun State University,” a member of the governing council was quoted to have said.

Ojoniyi was alleged to have pressured the student, Ikwue, for sex and she agreed, with the intention of exposing him.

The affair was captured in a video which was recorded by the female student.
