The notification was subsequent to the protest staged by students on Thursday over the suspension of their leaders who advocated for a better living condition for them.

An explosion which took place at Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) power station has been blamed for the dip in power supply.

The management explained that the explosion occurred on Saturday, September 24.

Generating plants have been used to ration power supply across campus since the incident took place, says the management.

Officials at EKEDC are said to be working at addressing the problem.
