Davido and Wizkid have hugged it out in what appears to be the latest resolution of their seemingly never-ending rivalry.

Footage from a Lagos nightclub showing the two Nigerian music bigwigs hugging passionately surfaced online on Saturday.

In the viral video, Davido approached Wizkid, after which they exchanged pleasantries and hugged for several seconds.

This is coming after Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning singer, had announced that he has settled his feud with Davido.

Davido had been at odds with Wizkid and Burna boy, alleging in 2020 that the duo was “ganging up” against him.

The DMW label boss had also opened up about how their growing music brands saw fans pit him and Wizkid against each other.

Davido also said a collaboration should have happened between them but power-play kept them from uniting.

“Of course, I felt we were both in competition. He knows that. And that could be the reason… ’cause I’ve never done anything. I love Wizkid and he loves me too. But the competition caused this. There was a power play,” he had said.

“Fans, people around us don’t make it easier. Wizkid and I had always been together and we always dismissed it.”

After his feud with Davido ended, Burna spoke of how he had assumed Davido was up for a “one-on-one” with him.

In 2020, Davido made headlines after he was reported to have clashed with Burna Boy at a Ghanaian nightclub.

Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid united last December to perform at a Christmas concert hosted by Tony Elumelu.
