‘Tokunbo’, a crime-thriller Nollywood movie directed by Ramsey Nouah, is set for release on Netflix, the streaming platform, on August 23.

The movie follows the life of Tokunbo, an ex-car smuggler who is given three hours to deliver a government official’s daughter to her captor — or else his family will suffer the consequences.

‘Tokunbo’ is an action film that delves into and explores the gripping world of crime and desperation.

The film features a number of prominent Nollwood stars such as Gideon Okeke, who plays the main character, Chidi Mokeme, Funlola Aofiyebi-Raimi, Nobert Young, Majid Michel and Adunni Ade.

Other cast members include Ivie Okujaye, Tosin Adeyemi, Stanley ‘Funnybone’ Chibunna, Darasimi Nadi, and Aaron Sunday.

‘Tokunbo’ was written and created by Story Story Hub. It was produced by Chris Odeh and co-produced by Joy Odiete. It is also a collaboration between Ramsey Films and Sozo Films.

The private screening of the movie was held on August 18. ‘Tokubo’ will be available for public view on Netflix on August 23.

The movie would be Noah’s third directorial project after the success of ‘Living in Bondage’ and ‘Ahanna: The Rattlesnake Story’.
