Seun Egbegbe, a former boyfriend of Toyin Aimakhu, Nollywood actress, has been arrested for stealing phones at Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos.
According to an eyewitness, Egbegbe stole the phones from Kaaltex Innovation Consultancy, a store in Computer Village, around 9:30am on Tuesday.
Egbegbe, who reportedly stole two iPhone 7 and some iPhone 6+, attempted to make away with the gadgets before he was apprehended by the sales attendant and other workers in the store.
He was about to board a cab when the attendant and others rushed outside to stop him in his tracks, the eyewitness told TheCable Lifestyle.
After being caught, it was discovered that Egbegbe had already handed the iPhone 7 to his accomplice who successfully escaped.
Egbegbe was beaten to a pulp by the traders before he was handed over to the police.
He is now being questioned at Area F police station in Ikeja.
Toyin Aimakhu dated Egbegbe shortly after her separation from Adeniyi Johnson, her ex-husband.
The affair with Egbegbe was notably tumultuous before it eventually hit the rocks.
