Tobi Adegboyega, the founder of the SPAC Nation church in the United Kingdom, says he is battling cancer.
In a now-viral video of his messages, the UK-based cleric told his church members that he had just undergone cancer surgery.
The clergyman revealed he has been battling cancer for the past few months, which required surgery.
Adegboyega said he was absent from church due to the surgery, “but God has given me the verdict to be alive”.
“I have been dealing with cancer for the past few months or maybe more. And I just had a major surgery. And that is why I am not there today. I feel the verdict to continue to live was given to me by God,” he said.
“Those of you who have participated in today’s story, I want you to know that you have a verdict that life and work must continue.
“I have cancer, and I have fought through the surgery. By the time you are watching the Thursday programme, I will be under the knife, fighting for life. It is a success already. We will always win.”
Last year, Adegboyega was in the news due to a UK deportation controversy.
He reportedly lost his battle against deportation from the UK over an alleged £1.87 million fraud.
The charismatic preacher dismissed the allegations of deportation, saying the case was an “ongoing issue” to be decided by the judges.
He added that the allegations of fraud came from “disgruntled members” of his church.
