Tiwa Savage, the Nigerian singer, has announced that her highly anticipated fourth studio album ‘This One is Personal’ is set for release on August 29.

The award-winning songstress recently took to her X page to create an intimate experience for her fans ahead of the 15-track album’s launch.

In a tweet, Savage expressed that the project “means the world to me,” revealing that it took approximately three years to complete. She also initiated a Q&A session using the hashtag #ThisOneIsPersonal.

“My album is dropping this Friday & it means the world to me, and I want us to share this journey together,” she wrote.

During the interactive session, the ‘Kele Kele Love’ hitmaker shared key details about the album, describing its thematic core as “love, healing, and heartbreak”.

She revealed that the project features collaborations with three other artistes. She also offered a glimpse into the emotional weight of the recording process, confessing, “I cried a lot while recording the first song”.

Since her explosive debut, Savage has solidified her status as one of Africa’s most influential and celebrated musical talents. Her groundbreaking work has garnered international acclaim and a multitude of prestigious awards.

‘This One is Personal’ will join her acclaimed discography of studio albums, which includes ‘Once Upon a Time’ (2013), ‘R.E.D’ (2015), and ‘Celia’ (2020).

In July, Savage celebrated 12 years since the release of her debut album, saying she poured her heart into the project and is proud to be still standing.
