Timi Dakolo, Nigerian gospel singer, and Busola, his wife, have taken to social media to celebrate their ninth wedding anniversary.
The pair shared lovey-dovey pictures of themselves alongside beautiful notes to each other to mark the occasion on Wednesday.
In a terse Instagram post, Timi extolled his wife’s amazing personality while also telling her to always thank him for being a good husband.
“Happy anniversary to me and the girl wey…be thanking me everyday o…for being a great guy,” he wrote in mixture of English and Pidgin.

On her part, Busola appreciated God for sustaining the union and giving their family “peace that passes all human understanding.”
“Ever faithful God! Awesome God! The Light that never goes dim. The Light on our path. The fire that goes before us. The Love that binds us together. The peace that passes all human understanding. Thank you Father. Happy anniversary to us,” she wrote.
The lovebirds tied the knot in 2012 and the union has been blessed with three children.
Timi came into the limelight after emerging winner of the inaugural season of Idols West Africa, a reality show, in 2007. He has continued pull the strings.
Busola has also had impressive career strides in the country’s showbiz industry.
The couple have been the heart of a lingering controversy since Busola alleged that Biodun Fatoyinbo, senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), raped her on two occasions while she was a teenager.
The clergyman had, however, dismissed the rape charge made against him.
