AY Makun, the comedian, has reacted amid a social media post from his estranged wife Mabel Makun, confirming the end of their marriage.
Mabel and AY tied the knot in 2008. Their union is blessed with two children.
Earlier in the year, reports spread that AY and Mabel had separated. They unfollowed each other on Instagram, intensifying the controversy. This was after Mabel alleged a threat to her life.
On Sunday, AY Makun revealed that his 20-year-old friendship and marriage are “slipping off” his hands.
Mabel, on Tuesday, broke her silence on her marital issues. She confirmed her split from AY who she referred to as her “ex-husband”.
She pleaded for privacy for her family “because of our children’s mental health and general well-being”.
Shortly after her post, the comedian took to his Instagram page to share a picture that reads “This too shall pass”.

The cause of their separation was not disclosed. However, AY earlier admitted that neither of them is completely without fault.
Several reactions have trailed their separation.
Charly Boy, the ace singer and activist, advised the estranged couple, saying “broken marriage is not always a sign of failure but an opportunity for personal growth and self-discovery”.
He also praised them for being together for many years.
