Dwayne Johnson, a Hollywood actor better known as The Rock, says himself and family have all tested positive for COVID-19, although they’re no more contagious as before.
The 48-year-old film star broke the news in a video shared on his Instagram page where he spoke on the difficulties he has been going through over the past two to three weeks after the diagnosis.
“I wanted to give you guys updates on some of the things I’ve been going through for the past two and a half to three weeks now. My wife, two baby girls, and I tested positive for COVID-19,” he said.
“This is one of the most difficult and challenging things we’ve ever had to endure as a family.
“It’s much different from overcoming nasty injuries or being evicted or being broke. The reason is that my number one priority has always been to protect my family.
“I am happy to tell you that we are on the other end. We are no longer contagious and thank God we are healthy. We got through COVID-19 stronger and healthier. I’m counting my blessings.
“We are counting our blessings right now because we’re well aware that it isn’t always the case that you get on the other end of Covid-19 stronger and healthier.
“It baffles me that some people out there, including some politicians, will take this idea of wearing masks and make it part of a political agenda. It has nothing to do with politics. Wear your mask.”
