ThankGod ‘TG’ Omori Jesam, the Nigerian music video director, has cried out after a failed kidney transplant.

On Tuesday night, the 29-year-old revealed that he was hospitalized for a kidney transplant. He also disclosed that his only brother donated his kidney for the transplant.

Omori, who has been battling kidney issues for one year, said the transplant was held on August 26, 2024.

But in a series of X posts on Wednesday, the video director revealed that the kidney transplant he underwent at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos failed.

The celebrity cinematographer said he went into the theatre three times for the transplant.

Omori, who has worked with notable artistes like Olamide, Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, cried out, “I don’t want to die”. He also asked his fans to pray for him.

“One year after my kidney crashed I just had a failed transplant at st Nicolas Lagos. Pray for me. Went into this theater 3 times, wasn’t just destined to die today,” he wrote.

Born in Cross-River state, Omori grew up in the Agungi area of Lagos state. He started his career at age 20 after graduating from PEFTI Film Institute. He has won numerous awards for his craft.
