The track, produced by Terry G who also featured as a guest artiste, was released by AY.com, born Ayoola Johnson, and quickly rose to prominence.

Terry G, however, faced criticism for frequently performing the song at his shows.

But in a recent X post , the ‘Free Madness’ hitmaker dismissed the allegations, describing them as “ignorant” and rooted in double standards.

Terry G clarified that he never claimed ownership of the song, nor did he include it in any of his albums.

“To those saying I stole ‘Pass Me Your Love’ from AY.com— that’s pure ignorance,” he wrote.

“So I don’t have the right to perform a song I collaborated on? Your favourite artists do it all the time, but when it’s me, it becomes a problem. Hypocrisy at its finest.

“And no, I didn’t put the song on my album — it was never about ownership, it was about collaboration.

“Some of you ruined AY’s moment with your noise, not me. As for my shine, nobody can block it. You no reach.”

Born Gabriel Oche Amanyi, Terry G is widely known for his eccentric dress sense and controversial lyrics.

His other monikers are “Akpako Master”, “Ginjah Master”, “Hitman, G.zuz”, and “Terry G.zus”.
